What We Do
Supporting philanthropic action in the psychedelic field
PSFC is a community of philanthropists working together to advance safe, ethical, and evidence-based access to psychedelic healing. Founded in 2017, we bring together funders who share a conviction that coordinated philanthropy can move this field faster and further than individual giving alone.
We support our members in directing their resources, relationships, and expertise toward the organizations and initiatives most likely to create lasting change. Our staff provides deep field knowledge, due diligence, and strategic guidance so members can give with confidence and impact.
How We Work
Connect. Learn. Strengthen.
Connect
We bring together like-minded philanthropists through in-person and virtual events, an active member listserv, and curated introductions to peers and field leaders. For many members, the PSFC community is itself a source of collaboration, friendship, and renewed purpose.
Learn
The psychedelic field moves fast. We help members stay current through a quarterly newsletter, timely issue briefs, and pulse calls with experts across research, policy, healthcare, and advocacy. Deep knowledge leads to better giving.
Strengthen
Our staff serve as a direct resource for members who want subject matter expertise, due diligence support, or hands-on guidance on specific initiatives. We help members ask better questions, vet opportunities, and follow through on the work that matters most to them.
Why This Matters
The case for coordinated philanthropy
Psychedelics are at a pivotal moment. After decades on the margins, a growing body of rigorous clinical research is demonstrating their potential to address some of the most treatment-resistant conditions in mental health: PTSD, depression, addiction, and more. The field has earned its place in serious scientific and policy conversations. But the path from promising research to broad, equitable access is long, complex, and underfunded.
No single donor can fund that path alone. Building the infrastructure the field needs requires sustained, coordinated investment across research, healthcare integration, policy reform, public education, and ethical practice.
That is what PSFC exists to enable. We are not a foundation or a grantmaker. We are a community of funders who believe that how we give is as important as how much we give, and that the psychedelic field deserves nothing less than our best collective thinking.
